ZINC METALLIZING

ZINC METALLIZING

Zinc metallizing, also known as thermal spray coating, is widely used in preventing the corrosion of metals. Metal wire or powder is fed at a controlled rate into a flame or arcs spraying process and the atomized metal impinges upon the surfaces being coated and becomes bonded to it. the coating is able to form protective layers and can also work as a sacrificial anode. This protects the underlying steel or iron; resulting in minimal to no maintenance for years to come. 85/15 zinc/aluminum wire is the most common used. When sprayed onto steel, the alloy produces a coating with the best anti corrosion protection.
